Food was good. Waitress not so good. Staff very friendly. One bad apple did not spoil this rating.

Food is OK, nothing to get excited about. Price is great, especially for families. I've been going to Ryan's for years, great hospitality & great salad bar... Something for everyone. After all these years, they still insist on serving OVER COOKED vegetables, I mean til they're like mush.

This place is good for an all you can eat buffet. The service is great and most of the food is good, but that is what is good about a buffet if you don't like it get something else. The kitchen manager (I think her Name was Wendy? Hyphenated last name) was awesome and fixed a issue that really wasn't a issue with my card. Been going here for 6 years now every summer when I am in town on vacation, and will continue to come back.

One of the best buffet dining experiences in Sandusky. The Ryan's gives military discounts on Mondays but if you ask about it they will honor it nearly every day of the week. I especially like that they have numerous hot food bars divided by type of food. They have a Mexican food bar, Italian food bar, fish bar, chicken bar and a grill station where they cook steaks to order as part of the buffet!

Just came from dinner and I’ll never ever return. Bathrooms are not clean. It smells like a outhouse. Poop on the toilet. Paper towels and toliet paper all over the ground. Sinks haven’t been cleaned in days / weeks. If I would’ve went to the bathroom at the start of dinner I wouldn’t have ate there. Service was horrible didn’t have drinks for 10 minutes. Food was not edible. Very disappointed. Would not recommend to anyone.

Needs a good cleaning..especially the floors and the bathrooms. Food wasn't that great but they had a good salad bar.

Good food. One waiter (don't know his name, had six daughters) in particular was very friendly and helpful. Price was reasonable. Nice experience overall.

Like the food and service. You dont have to wait for the buffet to be filled with food when the trays run out of food. Just needs a little more diversity to the menu...subs and sandwiches would be good for hot days. Chicken should not be fried as hard at times....some foods need less salt. Foods should be tested for heat.

45.00 for three. Kinda pricey for a buffet. The place is pretty messy and dirty. The steaks were chewy, the rolls aren't the same. Plates and utensils should be replaced. Wasn't impressed with anything. Went about two years ago and was much better.

The lady at the front was rude, our waiter got our drinks then didn't speak to us again, then the food was either just that bad or stale. My steak that I ordered was both burnt and raw.

If you're in a hurry this is your place. The food's always fresh and the tables are genuinely clean. The service staff is quick and efficient and are very kind. The Cook's on the grill are flaming good. Whether it's lunch or dinner Ryan's will get you in and out fast

Fremont used to have two American food buffets, Ryan's and Ponderosa. Both closed within a year in spite of being very popular, because of horrible corporate mismanagement.Now, if I want buffet, I have two choices in Fremont, Wang's (oriental fusion) and Fort Ball (east coast Italian).I want American. I deserve American. American was taken from me by corporate incompetence.Bring American buffet back to Fremont!

Needs some TLC.The bathrooms smelled HORRIBLE!!! Like raw sewage. The food was just so-so. I have some dietary restrictions (basically no sugar/low carb) and had a hard time finding stuff to eat. I ate the baked chicken and it was great! Green Beans were good too. Broccoli salad was pretty yummy. Ham was decent. Baked Fish was pretty gross, like rubber. Sugar-free chocolate pudding was ok. Overall, this restaurant needs some work with both the building and the food.

Its well kept, well arranged, and good food and variety. Only issue I had is could have had more main course at lunch

There was literally no good meat out at all. I found a bone with a small piece chicken on it. The lettuce at the salad bar looked old and wilted. The entire place just didn't look clean. Our waitress would ask if we were okay as she was hustling by our table..she didn't once stop long enough for us to answer. When we first came in they asked if I wanted to get cash back so I can leave a tip! Who asks that? They wouldn't let me charge the tip on my card.. so needless to say the waitress didn't get a tip.. but she didn't earn one to begin with

Always an enjoyable buffet to dine at.. They are clean, great service and have a huge selection! It can be a little difficult to get into the parking lot if you have not been there before. I love the dessert options as well!

Good food. Great service. Friendly environment. Descent prices. Food was properly rotated. Me and family had a great time. We recommend stopping. Toni was great waitress. Other staff was good too.

Amazing deal for $12. The steak was so much better than I would ever imagine it to be in a place like this. All the food was decent. I was pleasantly surprised.

Nice people that work there and about as clean as you would expect a buffet. The bathrooms are not very pleasant but the food is good, hot, and always full. :)

Wasn't too impressed with the food overall. Salad didn't taste the greatest, mashed potatoes were runny and didn't have much taste to them. The steak I had was good. Other than that I won't be in a hurry to go back.

Very good fried chicken and cooked to order steak. Great selection of food and its fresh even close to closing time. The people are nice and really friendly. Great price $11.99 for dinner. I would come back.

Food was mostly very good. The carpet is ABSOLUTELY disgusting in this place as well as the wood.both sticky and dirty. Wait staff very nice.

Above average, the cooks were great and helpful. The Prime rib was superb(tender and tasty and not chewy!. The fried chicken was good as grandma's.

Most servers are friendly and helpful. Decent salad bar, good side dishes and dessert selections. The steak and fried chicken are the best meat items by far. Bathrooms need cleaned more often and have an offensive odor.

Food was good and plentiful. The hostess was friendly and sharp! Our waiter was exceptional. My only criticism would be the place is a bitworn and could use a makeover.

Good, hot food, everything seemed pretty tip top shape. I see good management. However, not all the entrees and sides were properly labeled. Actually had to get on my knees to get some tacos on the right hand corner. Even though I'm 6'2.

Visited sometime ago and the food was old and cold during lunch time. Figuring it was a fluke, we visited again today when we were in the area. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because my kids enjoyed the macaroni and cheese and pumpkin pie. Even though the mac and cheese was cold. When we mentioned this to the manager she giggled and said....he's slow.BBQ ribs on the buffet were cold and like jerky. Steaks that are supposed to start at 4 still were not being served at 445. The guy running the grill kept telling people another 10 minutes. Our waitress ignored our empty beverage cups. Clearly, it wasn't a fluke the time before. We will not stop back.

Honestly the price you pay to eat here you think the food would be delicious. I'll never eat here every again unless they seriously fix there quality of the food. For anyone reading this don't eat here, the only place I know that they burn the rolls. Besides the food, you gotta wait forever to get a refill on your drinks. Terrible service the place is a joke. How there still open I don't know!!

Me, my dad, and brother went here and it was absolutely AMAZING !! The food was delicous and still hot. The drinks were refreshing and our waitress was so kind and patient. We came in 20 minutes before closing because we didn't know that their hours had changed but the hostess and waiters were still very welcoming !!

The service was EXCELLENT. All the money we spent at Kalahari and then the kids were still hungry. To find this place was great. The food was great, service and location.

First time here in Ohio an we choose to eat here. The food was very good. Everyone is really nice

Great all you can eat place reminds me of old country buffet. Worth going. The only thing you have to wait for your drinks. Other then that great place

The breaded shrimp was so good! I loved the carrot cake too.

Went to the Sunday dinner and there was plenty of delicious and fresh options! Steak, ribs, turkey, ham, fried chicken, sides, salad bar and dessert bar. We probably ate too much because it was so good!

The food is homemade and tastes amazing. Our waiter, Zachery, was awesome!

Food was pretty good. Service was alright, albeit a little slow to get seated, but I just think that's because it was busy. The smell was god awful though. And it wasn't like there was a spill or something, the entire place smelled horrible. Also, the chicken and steak didn't seem to be fully cooked. Good place for family and friends to eat at. Not good for dates, so don't think about it. For you vegans, there are fruit and salad options to choose from.Over all though, pretty good, and I would go back.

Breakfast Buffet: was looking for a breakfast place on vacation. Came here because I figured “it’s hard to mess up breakfast”..... famous last words. Got my daughters breakfast first and overall the buffet had good choices but nothing looked phanominal. I was the last one to come back to the table with my food and my husband said “don’t eat anything, let’s go”. Him and my son said it was gross. The eggs were dry, French toast dry and flavorless, and hash browns salty/dry. Just to give you prespective, my husband usually isn’t a big complainer of food. The staff was super friendly and gave us our money back. Just thought I would come on here because when you travel it’s hard to know what are the good places to visit.... this is NOT one of them.

A little on the spend side but worth it if you like it eat. If you are someone who eats just half a plate, don't waste your money this place is hard to turn down seconds and the cake bar. If you're looking for a Dea, this might be it, if you're wanting something small, go elsewhere.

The food was prepared perfectly. Our server was attentive and friendly. Prices are what we expected, we were not disappointed.
